Scholarship Program

Overview

Saint Lucia Cruise Port remains committed to transforming the lives of the people of Saint Lucia and are fully aware of the importance of investing in our future leaders. The Saint Lucia Cruise Port Scholarship will be available to all young persons interested in pursuing tertiary-level education. Two (2) undergraduate scholarships will be awarded to Saint Lucian nationals to any accredited institution of their choice within the United States, United Kingdom, Canada or any University of the West Indies campus.

  • We celebrate the resounding success of the Launch of the 2025 Saint Lucia Cruise Port Scholarship. SLCP remains committed to giving our nation's youth meaningful opportunities. We hope that even more aspiring students will leverage this scholarship to pursue and achieve their dreams.

Who is eligible to apply?
Who is eligible to apply?

  1. Must be a Saint Lucian national.

  2. Must meet the prerequisite academic requirements for the chosen university; this includes GCSE, CAPE, or an Associate's Diploma.

  3. Must be between the ages of 18 and 25.

Any University of the West Indies campus (Mona, St. Augustine, or Cave Hill)

  1. Certified copies of academic grades and or transcripts. (From the Ministry of Education)

  2. Proof of acceptance from the chosen university

  3. A personal statement of a maximum of 500 words.

For a maximum time of four (4) years.

What is the deadline for application submission?

July 3rd, 2026.

How and when will I be notified about my application?

All applications will be processed within one month from the deadline for submission (July 3rd, 2026). Successful applicants will be notified via email.

What is the criteria for maintaining the scholarship?

  1. Must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.

  2. Transcripts for each semester of study must be submitted to Saint Lucia Cruise Port.

 

Do scholars have to return to Saint Lucia after completing their degree?

Yes, all recipients are required to return to Saint Lucia for a minimum of two years upon degree completion.

Are part-time students eligible to apply?

Yes, but applicant must transfer to full time thereafter as the scholarship does not apply to part-time studies.

Would people with extenuating circumstances (such as disabilities) be taken into consideration?

Consideration will be given to applicants with extenuating circumstances.

Are second year students eligible to apply?

This opportunity is open to students currently enrolled at a university, excluding those in their final year of study.
